The OP in this story is understandably peeved. He's new the neighborhood and the youngsters in town are welcome them by constantly ringing their door bells and then running away. This action is more well knows as ding-dong-ditching. Sure it's harmless, but if you do it too one poor soul over and over again then it's just plain annoying. OP tried to be respectful and thought the right thing was to go the ditchers parents. But the parents gave the 'kids will be kids' excuse and called it a day. So the man did what anyone would do in this situation fight back like a kid. Did he take it too far? Only you and the moral judges of Reddit can decide.
